Clinical,Epidemiological and Economic Studies of Therapeutics
Our research
Danny Liew joined the Department of Medicine and St Vincent's Hospital in October 2007. His research interests lie in clinical trials, public health/epidemiology and health economics, especially in relation to the therapeutics of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases.
Other than clinical trials and 'classical' epidemiological studies, Danny Liew undertakes epidemiological and economic modelling of chronic diseases (especially cardiovascular disease and diabetes), the aims of which are to predict the future burden of chronic diseases and the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of relevant interventions.
Danny Liew is also a consultant physician at St Vincent's Hospital, where he leads the Clinical Pharmacology service and serves on the General Internal Medicine Unit.
