Current Students

Please click here for information on our current students and their innovative research projects.

Our students are students of The University of Melbourne and therefore eligible to use all the resources offered on the University campus, as well as the facilities and support available through St Vincent's Cluster, including:

St Vincent's Student Society
Our students have their own Student Society and organise both educational and social activities throughout the year such as Journal Clubs, BBQ's, comedy nights, movie outings, lots of sporting activities and the Postgraduate Ball. Please have at look at the Student Society webpage.

Student Retreat 24 - 26 April Anglesea YMCA Recreation Camp

Every year the Student Society runs a retreat for our students to spend a relaxed, yet informative weekend out-of-town. Invited speakers will talk about career options and important skills for a successful researcher (e.g. lab management, grants/scholarship applications, overseas post-doc, IP, science communication). They also have time for socialising and activities, e.g. campfire, archery, giant swing, canoeing, hiking, table tennis, rogaining. FREE! Transport, accommodation, meals and activities are all paid for by the University of Melbourne St Vincent's Cluster, and St Vincent's Health. For further information, please contact us by email.

Research Training Forum
The Forum is held fortnightly and attendance is compulsory for all students. The focus ranges from student talks to teaching overviews by researchers about techniques or fields of research of general interest. External speakers also present talks focussed on career development, thesis writing, improving presentation skills, poster presentation, cv writing and statistics.
