Dr Laima Brazionis is a post-doctoral Research Fellow for the Centre for Clinical Research Excellence in Diabetes in the Department of Medicine at the University of Melbourne and has a clinical background in primary care (optometry) and post-graduate degrees in Human Nutrition and Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Her key research interests are the effects of nutritional factors (such as carotenoids and dietary patterns) on chronic diseases, clinical nutrition therapy in the prevention and management of chronic vascular disease risk, and nutritional epidemiology.
