Alvin Chong is a Dermatologist whose teaching commitment involves participation in the medical undergraduate teaching program and acting as clinical instructor for undergraduate and postgraduate students. He has responsibility for supervision of dermatological training at St Vincent's Hospital and is responsible for the evaluation and education of dermatology trainees. His research interests are in the areas of epidemiology and development of skin cancers in organ transplant recipients.
Professional Activities:
Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists. Consultant Dermatologist at St Vincent's Hospital. Lead clinician, Transplant Dermatology Clinic at the Skin and Cancer Foundation Victoria. Member: Skin Cancer Committee of the Victorian Cooperative Oncology Group (VCOG), Centre for Clinical Research in Cancer, Committee of the Skin and Cancer Foundation Victoria, International Transplant and Skin Cancer Collaborative, Australasian Hair and Wool Research Society. Co-ordinator of the monthly joint St Vincent's/Royal Melbourne Hospital/Department of Surgery meetings.
