Our Facilities

Research staff and students in the Department of Medicine, St Vincent's Hospital undertake basic, clinical and applied research in a range of areas. The department is committed to providing high quality laboratory and computing facilities in support of this research.

The department maintains a dedicated imaging room facility containing a range of microscopes and image capturing equipment for applications such as densitometry, gel analysis, counting and morphometry.

Close links with other hospital research departments and the St Vincent's Institute provides our researchers with access to other specialised equipment available on the St Vincent's campus. Students enrolled in the Department of Medicine are provided with access to a 24 hour computer laboratory equipped with up-to-date Windows based and Apple Macintosh computers.
